From the Campaign

I am proud to officially announce my candidacy for the Minnesota State Senate in District 50.

Our community is facing an urgent and painful reality. Families are being crushed by the rising cost of living — housing, groceries, healthcare, and childcare are increasingly out of reach. At the same time, aggressive federal immigration enforcement and the current ICE climate are terrorizing our neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools. Parents are afraid to drop their children off at school. Workers fear going to their jobs. Entire communities are living under constant stress and uncertainty — not because they've done anything wrong, but because of who they are.

This is unacceptable.

Minnesota should never be a place where federal agencies sow fear, separate families, or destabilize communities that contribute every day to our economy, culture, and shared future. I believe deeply that public safety does not come from intimidation or mass enforcement — it comes from trust, stability, and respect for human dignity.

I'm running because our state leaders must be willing to stand up to federal overreach and say clearly: our communities are not targets. We must protect due process, defend civil liberties, and ensure that no one lives in fear simply for existing in Minnesota.

Alongside this, I will fight to make life more affordable for working families, strengthen public education, expand access to quality healthcare, protect our environment, and ensure safe, thriving neighborhoods for everyone.

This campaign is about all of us — our families, our freedoms, and the future we are building together. I look forward to listening to you, standing with you, and earning your support.
